# Accessible play upgrades for Hamworthy

https://news.bournemouthone.com/91723/

An accessible new play area will be installed at Hamworthy Park in the coming weeks. The design includes four zones with a wheelchair-accessible playboat, water play, swings, slides and a quieter sensory space designed for children with different needs and abilities. Eight swings will be provided, including one allowing children and carers to sit alongside each other, together with an accessible roundabout, playhouse and inclusive picnic seating. Local children, families, BCP Council and Diverse Abilities helped shape the plans, which also feature communication, Braille and multi-sensory panel
