# PostmarketOS now self-hosts Matrix/IRC bridge

https://postmarketos.org/blog/2025/03/31/matrix-bridge-migration/

The postmarketOS chat rooms now use a self-hosted Matrix/IRC bridge. It supports both Matrix and IRC protocols via matrix-appservice-irc. The bridge runs in full single puppeting mode to maintain bidirectional user presence.
