# Optical Waveguides Sense Object Shapes

A new method uses optical waveguides to sense object shapes. It detects limb movements by analyzing wave propagation in custom elastomeric waveguides. Demonstrated on a volunteer's arm, it shows potential for VR and wearable sensors.
