# Evanston to reopen police outpost on Howard Street

Evanston plans to reopen a police outpost on Howard Street in 2027. The office will serve as a stop-in point for officers and CARE Team, targeting unhoused individuals near the CTA viaduct. A $100,000 budget is allocated from the Howard and Ridge tax district.
