# Evanston Council to review budget in final meeting with Mayor Biss

Evanston's City Council will review the 2027 budget in its final meeting with Mayor Daniel Biss. Biss will resign Oct. 18, 2026, ahead of a special election in April 2027. An acting mayor will be appointed by council in a special meeting on Oct. 19.
