# Picherno Hunger Strike for Aleshki Humanitarian Aid

Vice President of European Parliament Pinja Picherno started a hunger strike to draw international attention to the situation in the city of Aleshki. The city is under Russian control in the occupied part of Kherson region and has faced months of power outages, food shortages, and attacks. Residents are trapped with most exits mined, and humanitarian access remains blocked.
