# SA motorists: 2.2M licence discs expire before New Year

Over 2.2 million vehicle licence discs in South Africa expire in November and December. Gauteng, Western Cape, and KwaZulu-Natal have the most expiring discs. Motorists are urged to renew before festive travel to avoid delays.
