Detect impossible and ambiguous local timestamps

Attaching a timezone to a wall-clock timestamp does not prove that the time occurred. Daylight-saving transitions can create a missing hour or two different UTC instants with the same local time.

Unlock an original zoneinfo classifier, tested Chicago spring-gap and autumn-fold examples, and storage rules for importing schedules or event logs. It distinguishes zero, one or two valid UTC candidates instead of silently choosing a fold.

Scope: Python 3.12, IANA zone identifiers and the timezone database installed on the running system. This is a software-data workflow, not a prediction that future timezone legislation will remain unchanged. Verified 18 October 2026. #Timezones #Python
