Bournemouth Electric Football Club has submitted plans to replace its main grass pitch with an artificial surface. The Broadway Lane proposals also include new perimeter fencing, a run-off area and eight fifteen-metre-high lighting columns positioned around the pitch. The club says the changes would provide a more consistent playing surface, reduce reliance on the weather and lower its maintenance costs. Bournemouth Electric currently supports more than twelve teams, including men’s, women’s and veterans’ sides, and has a training pitch, changing rooms, parking and a clubhouse. Comments
