Police are investigating the death of a woman who was hit while lying down in the road Monday night. Long Beach police say the woman was lying down in the roadway on Pacific Avenue at Sixth Street around 10:52 p.m. when she was hit by a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe traveling northbound. It is unknown why the woman was lying in the middle of the road, according to the LBPD.
