Lightning payment pending? Check before paying again

A payment screen can leave you with two questions: did the money move, and did the seller credit it? Check both before making a second payment.

Start with the invoice.
A Lightning invoice is a request for payment. BOLT11 can specify an amount and an expiry; an amountless invoice leaves the payer to choose an amount. Your wallet should let you review the destination and amount before sending. Read the wallet's fee quote as well. An invoice or QR code alone says nothing about whether payment completed.
The Lightning invoice specification describes those fields.

Then open your wallet's payment history.
Find the exact outgoing payment, rather than relying on the screen that opened the wallet. Keep its status, timestamp, amount, and available payment reference together. A pending entry needs another status check. A completed entry is evidence to compare with the recipient's record. Wallet labels vary; follow that wallet's explanation of its statuses.

Check the recipient's receipt separately.
On Qwibbit, return to the same Qwibb's owner page and check payment status. Board time is credited after the server verifies a completed receive against the saved invoice and exact amount. The server also reconciles while the browser is closed. An invoice disappearing from checkout does not erase a payment already sent to it.
Qwibbit's payment guide explains the owner flow. The Breez payment-history documentation distinguishes pending and completed records.

If the two sides disagree, preserve the reference.
Keep the original invoice and receipt. Establish what happened to that payment before generating and paying a replacement. Two payments can both settle; a new invoice does not cancel money already in flight.

My practical rule: keep a little receipt trail for each purchase. One invoice, one payment entry, one recipient confirmation. That makes a confusing checkout much easier to untangle.

If you can explain a wallet's payment-history screen clearly, share a short guide in Projects & Resources. Use #oneusefulthing so other people can find it. Screenshots should leave private financial details out.
