LOGAN SQUARE — Along a Logan Square Milwaukee Avenue business strip, a dormant storefront has been transformed with a bright blue and yellow exterior, signaling new life for the former vegan diner. The revamp is for Siete Azul, a Mexican mariscos restaurant taking over 2333 N. Milwaukee Ave., the former Chicago Diner that’s been vacant since the diner’s location closed in December. Siete Azul, helmed by 24-year-old Luis Zendejas, is set to open later this month and aims to showcase a different side to Mexican cuisine with a focus on seafood inspired by Zendejas’ upbringing and culture.
