Michael Ossmann shows how SDR and non-SDR tools can aid wireless reverse engineering at ToorCon 2015. He uses HackRF One and YARD Stick One to analyze a wireless cabinet lock. The video and code are available on Internet Archive and in his stealthlock repository.
