New European dinosaur species discovered in fossil

A 1924 fossil fragment from the Isle of Wight reveals a new European megarraptor species. The discovery, published in Royal Society Open Science, expands known diversity of prehistoric predators in Europe. The fossil comes from the Wessex Formation during the Early Cretaceous.
