Mid City honors Bill Byers with 9 jazz-themed banners for its 20th anniversary. The banners celebrate music and culture from his Civil Rights-era art series. Bill Byers was an artist and saxophonist born in North Carolina, raised in D.C., and taught in Los Angeles.
